Work begins on the redevelopment of Pioneer Leisure Centre on 3 June 2008.
The centre's 3 squash courts will close Sunday 1 June 2008.

Aerobics is a fun motivating way to exercise, we have a variety of great classes at the three Leisure Centres. Classes are suitable for beginners who want to take it slow and ease themselves into exercise to the more serious harder workouts. Our classes are for 14 years and over. Childcare centres are available at Pioneer and QEII.
To enhance better muscle toning and fat burning a combination of BAT or Pump Power with a cardiovascular based class or a total body workout with one of our Circuit classes will produce faster results.

Easi Fit: A combination of easy low impact moves for the beginner. A diverse range of exercise styles from movement to music, dancing, strength training, circuit and stretching.
Gentle Exercise: Suitable for the absolute beginner who wants to take it slowly but have fun and be social.
Seated Gentle Exercise: Designed for the older adult or those with limited mobility, to keep the body active. A fun social class using chairs to exercise on or around. Please inform the instructor of any medical conditions you have prior to the class.
Stretch and Release: If you are suffering from low energy, stress, muscular tension, or just want to increase your flexibility, this mind and body class is for you. An invigorating release, incorporating energetic Chi Ball, powerful Chi Gong and Yoga with flowing Tai Chi, Pilates and Feldenkrais.
B.A.T. (Butts, Abs n Thighs): This class is designed to seriously firm and tone the lower half. Combined with low impact cardio for faster results. Suitable for all levels.
Cardio Fusion: Put on your dancing shows and enjoy a fun, energetic class with a combination of dance styles. Challenge yourself each week as you gain more confidence. This class is all about having FUN!! Suitable for all levels.
Circuit: Classes involve a diverse range of exercise descriptions ranging from resistance to cardio, spin to boxing. Be surprised with one of our classes! Suitable for all levels.
Pump Cardioblast: A high energy combination of aerobic moves and interval training that will challenge! Intermediate to advanced level.
Step Athletic: Using the step box as an athletic platform. Basic moves with intensity alternatives to challenge. Suitable for all levels after having completed Technique Class.
